At House of Ven we have conceptually looked back in history to shape our current identity. At the same time we keep our focus towards the future where new trends, wishes and needs from visitors and travelers are constantly changing.
More and more people are traveling away from urban environments and closer to nature, closer to each other and at the same time closer into our own being. It is with this perspective that we have established and are constantly developing our business.

We have a tourist heritage to preserve
Today marks almost 100 years since Turistgården opened its doors as a restaurant here on Ven. The local newspaper wrote about the excellence of the destination and although much has changed, much remains the same.
"A long felt need has been satisfied by the establishment of this cozy retreat. Niels keeps the focus
With his solid background from both communication and tourism and more than 8 years in a leading position at VisitSweden, it has been natural for our founder Niels Mouritzen to focus the business, our offers and development towards the guests' travel initiation and overall experience at House of Ven and our island as a whole.
The business's own journey started in 2017 when Niels as a tenant took over the operation of Ven's Camping, today our sister business Camp Ven, and later that year also the position as a tenant at "Turistgården".
Development of the entirety of Ven
A homogeneous destination provides greater and clearer attractiveness and can thus create the right tourist flows and help secure the development of the local community.
In 2023, Niels Mouritzen established Island of Ven Venture AB as a common parent company for several businesses at the destination. With new capital from a number of new partners and investors, Venture AB has acquired the properties "Turistgården", "Vens Camping" and "Prästgården" as well as the operation of House of Ven and Camp Ven. In this way, with more resources, we can continue the development of the commercial destination Ven.
We try to do our part
Our House of Ven is a natural engine within the Venture sphere and the destination as a whole. We are a conscious part of Ven's local community and wish to contribute to increased employment, immigration, good infrastructure and long-term sustainable tourism development with our year-round activities and target group-oriented offerings.
Now we are House of Ven
We are constantly developing our offer, our deliveries and our processes. With a clear sustainability perspective as a basis, we have created our "Best Taste Closest" concept, which is completely guiding the experiences we offer.
Peace and quiet, sustainable travel, refined locally produced food experiences and meetings between people, are crucial components of our guests' travel reason.
It is with pride and deep respect for the history of Turistgården, that we carry the legacy into the future as The House of Ven.
